Review: Laundry
“The actual laundry we see throughout the film comes across as a visual metaphor for all we try to get done as humans.” – Randy Kakegamic
I am an Ojibway Cree born and raised in Ottawa Ontario. I am a father and grandfather. Both my parents are survivors of residential school here in Canada. My late father is from North Spirit Lake Ontario and my mom is from Waswanipi Quebec. I have been singing since I was 8 years of age and dancing the grass style for over 5 years now. I am the drum keeper of the SpiritWolf Singers. I have always been around the powwow arena since I was a child and was lucky to receive teachings.
I am a student and graduate at Algonquin College, graduate of Digital Music production, Music Industry Arts and Broadcasting Television Programs. Currently enrolled in Scriptwriting. I love my school and I am a student navigator there as well at the Mamimdosewin Center. I love sharing my story and really incorporate that into each and every performance I do. Meegwetch!
